ORDINARY
LIFE
These plans provide permanent,
level insurance benefits for life. Different plans provide for premiums
to be paid for life, 20 years, to age 65, or to age 85. Depending on the
payment plan, coverage is available for age last birthdays of 0 through
85. The minimum policy size is $3000. There is no maximum policy size.
These plans are extensively underwritten and medical exams are required
for certain issue ages and amounts of coverage.
DECREASING TERM
These plans provide insurance
that decreases over a term that expires at the end of 20, 25 or 30 year
periods. These plans provide the most coverage for the least premium cost,
but the coverage period is temporary unless the benefit is converted to
a permanent plan prior to expiry. The minimum initial face amount issued
is $5000. Coverage is available for age last birthdays of 15 through 55
depending on the term period.
DOUBLE/PLUS
These plans provide permanent
coverage that doubles over a premium paying period of 10 or 20 years.
(A policy issued with an initial face amount of $5,000 will be fully paid
up after 10 or 20 years for $10,000). After the premium paying period
is completed, the policies continue to increase in value with the addition
of "excess interest". Excess interest (currently 3.00%) is added
to the policy each year. Policies are issued with initial coverage amount
of $500 to $15,000 and are intended for applicants with impaired health.
INSTANT ISSUE
This plan is intended for
impaired health applicants and asks only 2 medical questions on the application.
It provides permanent coverage for life for the full benefit after 2 years
(During the first two years the death benefit is a return of all premiums
paid plus 10%). If death occurs during the first two years due to an accident, the full benefit is paid. This plan is offered to age last birthdays of 45 through
80 and for ultimate amounts of coverage of $1,000 to $15,000.
OTHER - For some plans we also offer riders that
provide term coverage for children, additional benefits for death from
accidents, and premium waiver if an insured becomes disabled.
